Erika Tsimbrovsky's 'landscape dances' series explores the theme of immigration by re-considering definitions of ‘home’ and ‘rootedness.’ As someone who immigrated 6 times, she associate roots with rootlessness. Contemplating my own body in its landscape, I ask questions: What is my landscape these days? What about the horizon of the landscape?
The work features the dancing of Erika Tsimbrovsky, Mihyun Lee, live drawing & paper installation by Vadim Puyandaev, music by London-based musician/composer Grundik Kasyansky.
